Northamptonshire businesses interested in supplying goods and services to Universal’s Bedfordshire development are being encouraged to complete a new supplier interest form.
Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, through its BedX programme, is highlighting the opportunity to businesses across the wider region as preparations for the major development continue.
Companies that previously registered their interest are also being encouraged to complete the new form. Universal has retained information submitted through the earlier registration process, but the updated form requests more detailed information about businesses and the goods or services they could provide.
Completing the form will ensure Universal has businesses’ latest company and contact information as it develops its supplier database.
Justin Richardson, chief executive of Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “This is another important step in helping businesses position themselves for the opportunities Universal’s Bedfordshire development is expected to create. We would encourage companies of all sizes to complete the new supplier form so Universal has the most up-to-date information about their business and the products or services they can offer.
“Through BedX, we’re committed to helping businesses understand the opportunities available, prepare for future procurement processes and make the right connections as the project develops.”
Universal is also expected to hold business engagement events to help companies understand how to work with the organisation and prepare for future supply chain opportunities. Further details are due to be announced.
Businesses completing the supplier form through the Chamber are being encouraged to select Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce in the Industry Group Affiliation section.
BedX is an initiative created by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce to help businesses identify supply-chain opportunities, prepare for major investment projects and connect with buyers and Tier 1 contractors.
Businesses can complete the new Universal supplier interest form via the online registration portal.
