TIME is running out for companies to enter the National Building Awards 2019, which celebrate the construction sector and those who work within it.

A number of Northamptonshire companies have already submitted entries to the awards, and the organisers are hoping more will follow suit and stake their claim for a place in the finals, which take place at Wembley Stadium on 22 May.

The 23 categories include Architect of the Year, Project of the Year, Specialist Contractor of the Year and Consultancy of the Year and are open to any UK based business.

The National Building Awards, sponsored by Liebherr, are from the same stable as the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards and the SME National Business Awards, which are now well-established on the awards calendar.

Damian Cummins, from Events & PR, who leads the team that organises the events, said: “We now have business awards in five counties, including Northamptonshire, and all have proven themselves successful in promoting and celebrating the small businesses the are such an important factor in our national economy.

“Selected winners of the regional awards go through to the SME National Business Awards, which are held in December each year and which pit the strongest in each area against each other for the national title.

“The feedback we get is that the recognition that comes with winning an award and the resulting publicity, is extremely positive to businesses, both in terms of being able to show their customers what they are achieving, and in terms of staff morale.”

As well as the regional and national awards, and the National Building Awards, firms and individuals can enter or invite nomination to the National Business Women’s Awards, in which there are 14 categories including Business of the Year and Corporate Leader of the Year, and the National Best New Business Awards, made up of 18 categories and open to any business in the UK that is less than three years old.
