LEILA Souch, marketing director of the independent IT consultancy 3RS IT Solutions, based in Wellingborough, has been named a finalist in the Fundraiser Award category at the BBC Radio Northampton Make a Difference Awards.
Nominated by her husband and fellow director Steve Souch, Leila’s recognition follows her dedicated fundraising efforts for Teamwork Trust, a charity supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mild mental health issues.
Over the past year, Leila spearheaded a series of fundraising initiatives with the 3RS team, including a challenging assault course, a bake-off competition, and a 5km run at Stanwick Lakes, all aimed at generating crucial funds for the charity.
“I am delighted to be named a finalist for the BBC Radio Northampton Make a Difference Awards 2024,” said Leila. “My son Reuben, who has autism, is the inspiration behind my fundraising. Some may be aware of his condition, and Teamwork Trust provides vital support to people with additional needs in Northamptonshire. Raising funds for them is incredibly important to me.”
Leila also expressed gratitude to her support network, including Steve, adding, “It’s a privilege to support Teamwork Trust, and I am immensely grateful to everyone who has backed my efforts. I am looking forward to the awards ceremony and wish the best of luck to all the finalists.”
The BBC Radio Northampton Fundraiser Award recognises individuals or groups who have gone above and beyond to raise money for charitable causes. Winners from across eight categories in Northamptonshire will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday, 10th September.
