Start-Up Day highlights the support available for would-be entrepreneurs

ASPIRING entrepreneurs and seasoned business professionals are preparing for a day of talks, workshops and networking at the Business & IP Centre’s Start-up Day 2024.

The event takes place on November 19 at Northampton Central Library and includes presentations by speakers including Hannah Brady of marketing agency Brady Creative and a Q&A session with a panel of grant-winning entrepreneurs.

The event also includes workshops on elevating your business, networking and exhibition stands manned by organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses, the economic development teams at West and North Northamptonshire Councils, Lucidity IP and Building Business Consultancy.

Business membership group NNBN will also be on site to outline the support it offers to businesses and to showcase how the group has helped Northamptonshire businesses since it began in 2022.

Anyone attending is also eligible for a free professional headshot photo at the event by professional photographer Samantha Peel of Welly Pictures.

NNBN director Simon Cox said: “Starting a business is an exciting place to be but are local people aware of some of the support available to them. The Start-up Day organised by the Business & IP Centre provides a great platform for enterprising people to explore and consider their next steps as they enter the world of business.”
