Northamptonshire businesses are being invited to take part in the Franklins £50 Challenge 2026, a fundraising initiative supporting a range of nominated charities, including Northampton-based The Lewis Foundation.
The challenge runs from 23 February to 29 May 2026. Each participating company receives £50 in seed funding from Franklins Solicitors, then works to turn it into as much as possible through staff-led fundraising and community events.
From bake sales and raffles to sponsored challenges and team activities, the format is designed to encourage creativity across local workplaces. However teams choose to raise money, funds are shared between the selected charities taking part in this year’s challenge.
The Lewis Foundation, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, is one of the nominated charities. The charity provides more than 2,000 free gift packs every month to adult cancer patients in hospitals across the region, including Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital.
Lorraine Lewis, co-founder and CEO of The Lewis Foundation, said: “2026 is incredibly special for us as we mark our 10th anniversary. The Franklins £50 Challenge has always shown the power of community, but this year’s initiative feels like a real opportunity to celebrate what can be achieved when people come together with purpose. Every business that takes part will be helping us continue to deliver comfort and support to people facing cancer treatment. We can’t wait to see the imagination and kindness that this year’s challenge will bring!”
Rosanna Stimson of Franklins Solicitors added: “The Franklins £50 Challenge has grown into a tradition of local generosity and entrepreneurial spirit. Every year, we’re amazed by how businesses turn £50 into something truly meaningful for charities like The Lewis Foundation. With 2026 marking such an important milestone for them, we’re excited to see our local business community rally behind their work and the work of all the nominated charities and make this year the most impactful yet.”
All participants will be invited to the Franklins £50 Challenge Awards Ceremony in June 2026, where the most innovative and impactful fundraising efforts will be recognised.
Businesses can sign up via Franklins Solicitors, while more information about The Lewis Foundation is available through the charity’s website.
