THE courier division of national warehousing, transport and logistics firm The NX Group has one of its biggest deliveries to date.
The Crick-based company, which recently increased the size of its vehicle fleet and took on new drivers to meet increasing demand, used 80 per cent of its vans to transport state-of-the-art 75-inch monitors and screens, plus a Prosecco tap, to London for a show at exhibition centre ExCel over the course of one morning.
To make the process as efficient and cost-effective as possible, the delivery was made on behalf of four separate companies, all of which were exhibiting at the world’s biggest education technology show, Bett 2019, in January.
Russell Thompson, Operations Controller for NX Courier, said: “This job took a lot of planning, because we wanted to ensure it was done correctly, safely and on time for our multiple clients. There were a lot of things that needed to be taken into consideration when transporting such a lot of hi-tech equipment in one go.”
Peter Connolly, IT and Project Manager for The NX Group, who is integrating new software with the company’s existing systems, said: “Large, complex jobs such as these require careful co-ordination, but thanks to the systems we have in place we can ensure that large scale jobs such as this can be carried off without a hitch.”
The NX Group is a comprehensive suite of supply chain solutions for businesses that require an extra level of quality and care for their products. Based in the golden triangle of logistics in Northamptonshire, its distribution, warehousing and courier divisions have grown year on year, thanks to its emphasis on quality, security and personal approach.
