The Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce has launched its Q4 2025 Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), inviting businesses across the county to share their views on the current economic climate and future expectations.
According to the latest findings, inflation continues to be the leading concern, with 83% of respondents identifying it as the main issue affecting business performance. Despite these ongoing challenges, local firms are demonstrating remarkable resilience, adapting to higher costs and uncertain market conditions.
The Quarterly Economic Survey remains the UK’s largest and most respected independent business survey. Managed by the British Chambers of Commerce, it plays a pivotal role in informing the decisions of the Government, Bank of England, and HM Treasury. The insights gathered directly influence national economic policy, making every business response crucial.
Louise Wall, Chief Executive of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “Northamptonshire businesses continue to show resilience and determination despite inflationary pressures that are squeezing cash flow and investment. The feedback we gather through the QES ensures our local business community’s experiences are heard by those shaping the national economy. Every response counts — together we can ensure our region’s voice remains strong and influential.”
The QES explores key areas such as domestic and export sales, hiring and investment intentions, recruitment challenges, cash flow, and business confidence. The results provide valuable insights into local and national business performance each quarter.
Businesses are encouraged to take part in the Q4 2025 survey, which is open now. Completing it takes just a few minutes but plays a vital role in ensuring Northamptonshire’s business voice is represented at the highest levels of decision-making.
