The one-day Print Essentials workshops include lunch and are free of charge. They cover the following topics:

* Colour management and avoiding artwork mistakes
* The environmental aspects of the print and paper industry – exploding the myths
* Comparing print and digital media
* A guided tour of Belmont Press’s printing facilities, so you can see the latest technology in action
The workshops are very popular with all attendees, and a delegate at a recent workshop said: “I thought I knew quite a lot about print, but your workshop really opened my eyes to stuff I had never been taught at university or learned in 10 years of print buying. I can’t thank the fantastically helpful team at Belmont Press enough for the information I took away from the workshop and tour.”
The dates of the forthcoming Print Essentials workshops are: 23 September, 14 October, 28 October and 11 November The Print Essentials workshops are held next door to Belmont Press at Sheaf Close, Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, Northampton NN5 7UZ. Please note that places are limited, and a maximum of three delegates from any one organisation on any one date can be accepted.
All attendees at the workshop receive a free copy of the Essential Guide to Print. Written and produced by Belmont Press, it is a comprehensive guide for print buyers, which explains all the different aspects of the printing process, including paper selection, preparing artwork, pre-press and proofing, the printing process (four colour process, spot colour, special colours, HD, digital) and folding, finishing and binding.
It’s a very useful handbook that you’ll refer to again and again. If you’re unable to attend the workshop, you can still request a copy of the Essential Guide by going to www.belmont.co.uk and clicking on the button at the bottom of the home page.
