LUXURY cars from Jaguar to Bentley and Porsche receive extra tender loving care thanks to the specialist service from Daventry Thermoforming (UK) Ltd.
The uniquely moulded PVC coverings are used by the manufacturers to protect the car during the assembly process which reduces the risk of costly replacements of hand-made leather seats or chrome finishes.
Managing Director Tony Lewis said the business started in 1992 with two directors, initially to manufacture blister packs to nationally-recognised DIY retailers. The management team quickly spotted an opportunity in the motor sector and since then have worked with a wide range of manufacturers to become the market leaders in internal car protection.
Since then there have been other developments including the production of spray jigs and spray masks which saves downtime on cleaning jigs and fixtures, these are used by most customers between seven to ten times before disposing and replacing them. The firm also produces a range of roof vents for the building industry.
Tony said: “Our clients are looking for a tailored solution that meets their own particular needs. We believe our products provide clients with savings on having to repeat a task and warranty claims.”
Ongoing investment in equipment at the business on West March Industrial Estate enables the 23-strong specialist team to create products using environmentally-friendly materials. Clients are involved through each stage of the process from the drawing to production tooling and production parts.
“We take pride in working closely with our customers to ensure their every need are being met. Cost is always an important factor, but customers also want to be confident that the finished product will meet other standards,” said Tony, who is looking forward to exciting times ahead with other automotive parts being available shortly and giving the customers more choice.
