HARRIS & Clarke Chartered Accountants have announced the appointment of a new member of staff.
John Harris and Richard Clarke, partners of the Northampton-based practice, are pleased to announce the addition of Darren Mattacola, a Chartered Certified Accountant with 17 years of experience in public practice, to their team.
Whilst Harris & Clarke specialise in agriculture, estates and high net worth individuals they also have a general practice client base that has steadily grown since the firm started trading some six years ago.

John Harris and Richard Clarke, partners of the Northampton-based practice, are pleased to announce the addition of Darren Mattacola, a Chartered Certified Accountant with 17 years of experience in public practice, to their team.
Whilst Harris & Clarke specialise in agriculture, estates and high net worth individuals they also have a general practice client base that has steadily grown since the firm started trading some six years ago.
Darren, who is very much a local Northampton lad, has been recruited with a view to continuing the growth of the firm’s general practice client base and thus allow John Harris and Richard Clarke to continue to drive the specialist side of the practice forward.
In making the announcement Richard Clarke said: “We are delighted that Darren has agreed to join us in a new position that has been created as a result of the growth we have experienced over recent years.
“Darren is a welcome addition to our expanding team of staff and his enthusiasm gives us every confidence that he will play a positive role in the further growth of our general practice client base.”
Harris & Clarke specialises in the agriculture, estates and private client sector, acting for farms and estates covering well in excess of 75,000 acres over 10 counties, ranging from holdings of five acres to five thousand acres in size. In addition to the routine compliance role of drafting accounts and tax returns on behalf of clients, the firm regularly consults on an ad-hoc basis, covering issues such as capital gains tax on the sale/restructure of farmland, inheritance tax planning, asset financing, equipment purchase timings and providing general business advice.
