KETTERING-based chartered accountants and business advisers, Ellacotts LLP, is delighted to launch a new cloud accounting website: www.ellacottscloudsolutions.co.uk
With just over six months to go until Making Tax Digital comes into force, Ellacotts is aiming to raise awareness of how Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs’ (HMRC) new rules will affect businesses and what they can be doing now to ensure they are compliant.
In April 2019, VAT registered businesses above the VAT threshold – a turnover above £85,000 – will need to keep digital records, and it is proposed that from 2020 all other businesses will need to digitally update HMRC with their Corporation Tax, Income Tax and National Insurance obligations every quarter.
Known as Making Tax Digital, it is a significant change meaning the end of the annual tax return. The days of manual record keeping will be over and this means businesses will need to move onto an alternative solution, such as a cloud accounting package.
As well as being compliant with the new rules, cloud accounting software also provides many additional benefits to businesses.
* There’s no software to install or upgrade and everything is backed up automatically
* It’s in the cloud so you can get a clear view of your finances any time any place
* You can run your business from work, home or on your mobile
* It automatically grabs bank receipts and payments in real time
* Use your mobile to photograph purchase invoices and expenses and upload these to the software
* Easily track sales, purchases, debtors and creditors
Ellacotts have a specialist cloud accounting team who are committed to helping clients in the transition to Making Tax Digital. They are also a Xero Platinum Partner meaning they are experts in the software and are certified in the installation and operation of it.
