‘We have a long history of delivering complex projects in the commercial and industrial sector‘
The Northamptonshire-based team of GSSArchitecture, CS2 and BCAL have completed a significant project for global transport and logistics company DSV to expand, reconfigure and modernise its UK head office site.
The works undertaken have involved a significant office and warehouse redevelopment at the site, including the creation of an overhead footbridge linking DSV’s existing three-storey office space at Raunds to a new build office and warehouse space.
GSSArchitecture was employed by DSV to provide architectural and lead consultant services, alongside fellow Northamptonshire-based consultants BCAL and CS2.
The completed works will now allow the site to operate more efficiently, improve on-site HGV cir-ulation and ensure the site complies with international DSV and modern logistics industry standards.
The extension to the warehouse also now includes a side-on trailer load area, allowing all operations to be under one roof, rather than requiring goods to be transported across the yard to and from parked vehicles.
Completion of the project at DSV’s head office follows another successful partnership between GSSArchitecture and DSV, with the office extension and refurbishment at the latter’s Manchester site also completing earlier this year.
Chris Chapman, partner and project lead at GSSArchitecture, said: “I am delighted that we have had the opportunity to complete a second successful project for our client DSV this year and I am proud of the entire team for the work that went in to making this possible.
“At GSS we have a long history of delivering complex projects for clients in the commercial and industrial sector so it has been an excellent opportunity for us to strengthen our relationship with DSV and the rest of the project team that are local to our Northamptonshire head office.”
