FRIDAY Legal Solicitors has advised Kettering-based Brambleside Community Primary School in its conversion to academy status on 1 April 2015.

Duncan Crowther commented: “We have worked with Brambleside since the very early days of its proposed conversion and we are delighted to have assisted the school in achieving academy status. This particular conversion was especially challenging due in part to a number of complex land-related issued that required resolution. These issues required detailed liaison and negotiation with Northamptonshire County Council, Kettering Borough Council, the Department for Education and a national property developer to ensure that the school was able to convert on satisfactory terms. It was absolutely essential that the 1 April deadline was not missed due the forthcoming General Election and the whole team here at Friday Legal did a sterling job in resolving the numerous issues in time for the planned conversion date.”

With effect from 1 April 2015 the school will be known as Brambleside Primary School.
