AS it celebrates its 15th anniversary, office products supplier Bluefish has added a third unit to its Brackmills site, reflecting the continued growth of the company.

Since it was formed in 2000, Bluefish has grown into a £20m business that is one of the largest independent office products suppliers in the UK. What began as a predominantly stationery company has expanded into non-stationery areas such as office furniture, printed stationery, janitorial and catering supplies.

In the past 12 months, the company has undertaken a number of installations of up to 300 workstations, with customers benefiting from a wide range of furniture options and a free CAD planning and advice service to ensure the best use of the available space.

Bluefish also offers a managed print service to help customers cover the cost of printers and copiers, resulting in an overall saving when compared with the cost of buying replacement toners and print cartridges.

Peter Barnes, Director of Bluefish, said: “Growth has been steady throughout the 15 years we’ve been trading, resulting in the recent decision to expand into another 15,000 square foot unit adjoining our existing units on the Brackmills Industrial Estate.

“I firmly believe that as well as having an excellent team in place, growth has been fuelled as well by the fact that we have expanded our range into non-stationery items such as furniture and janitorial supplies.

“Our customers also appreciate the managed print service, which means they have a fixed price per copy and don’t have to worry about the price of consumables or any maintenance issues, as that’s all taken care of.”

On September 13, a 20-strong team from Bluefish Office Products took part in the annual Cycle4Cynthia bike race in aid of Cynthia Spencer Hospice, raising around £3,000, while Bluefish’s annual golf day on Friday, 12 September raised £5,000 for two local autism charities.
