GUESTS from the property, finance and construction sectors heard about the plans for redevelopment at Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium at the first meeting of the Northampton Curry Club.

Launched by Networking in the City and sponsored by Cottons Chartered Accountants and Tollers Solicitors, the Curry Club met at Mem-Saab on Wellingborough Road.

As part of a nationwide lunchtime networking organisation, the Curry Club offers guests good food, networking opportunities and the chance to listen to an engaging local speaker.

At the November event, Andy Wooldridge, Commercial Manager of Northampton Town explained the changes that will take place at the club’s ground now that planning permission has been granted. The changes will include a large meeting room suitable for events and exhibitions, enhanced corporate hospitality and increased capacity for matches.

Steve Kettle, Director of Networking in the City, said: “We were delighted with the turn-out for the first meeting and it was a great success. The key objective is for guests to leave the event having successfully shared ideas and built up good business contacts. We’re looking forward to the next bi-monthly meeting, at the end of January.”

The next Northampton Curry Club will be at Mem-Saab on January 31 from noon to 2.15pm. Details of the guest speaker will be announced shortly on the website www.networkinginthecity.co.uk
