Mick George Ltd is taking its fight for your commercial waste to the streets. Spreading the word about its new Commercial Waste service with the help of its ‘no nasty surprises’ campaign gremlins, the team will spend seven weeks touring business parks across the Eastern Region in a special liveried lorry.  Not only in the business of tackling waste, Mick George Ltd is on the road to bag up more than nasty surprises by collecting old clothes and household textiles in support of the Sue Ryder textile collection.

The tour aims to highlight how important it is for businesses to recycle waste. Mick George’s Commercial Waste service ensures 90 percent of all commercial waste collected is diverted from landfill.  Research suggests that in 2012 the estimated waste generated by commercial and industrial economic activities in England was a staggering 44 million tonnes.

Ian Phillips, General Manager of Mick George Commercial Waste, commented: “It is great to be out and about talking directly with our customers about our Commercial Waste service. For many businesses waste and recycling isn’t a top priority but we are determined to highlight the financial and environmental benefits of choosing a company that is committed to tackling the waste problem we have in the UK, without any hidden costs or restrictive contracts!”

Phillips continued: “The financial, as well as environmental benefits of tackling waste in the UK are massive. Our Commercial Waste service is fixed price, so there are no nasty surprises when your bill comes, we are flexible on pick up times and can sort and separate your waste at our facilities, saving your business time and money.

“As well as talking to our customers about our new service on our tour we will be encouraging them to take part in our Sue Ryder textile collection in support of a new building for Thorpe Hall Hospice. Just one bag of old clothes and household textiles could be worth as much as £20 to Sue Ryder and with more than 550 Mick George Ltd staff living and working in the region, the company is hoping to make a large contribution itself.”
