Business and financial advisers Grant Thornton, which has offices in Northampton, has scooped the prestigious title of ‘Accountancy Firm of the Year’ for larger clients at this year’s FDs’ Excellence Awards, beating all other major firms to the accolade for the fourth time in the last seven years.
The FDs’ Excellence Awards recognise the UK’s brightest financial directors and financial services providers and Grant Thornton’s win is particularly significant as it was determined by the results of an annual satisfaction survey completed by over 1,850 finance decision-makers. The firm achieved a nine out of ten score rating.
Commenting on the award, Kevin Gale at Grant Thornton’s Northampton office, said: “This accolade is especially important to us as it is voted for by the individuals we work with on a daily basis and so truly recognises the value and quality of our approach.
“The financial landscape is changing and so are the needs of our clients; something we continue to recognise. We are committed to understanding and adapting to the evolving environment and this dedication allows us to truly support our clients in unlocking their potential for growth.
“We are passionate about ensuring our clients thrive and can contribute towards creating a vibrant economy. We hope that this attitude and approach will continue to see us receive such great recognition from our clients.”
Now in its 12th year, the FDs’ Excellence Awards are held in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and supported by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
Grant Thornton’s latest award win comes on the back of being named ‘Global Firm of the Year’ at the recent British Accountancy Awards, an accolade also based on the results of a survey of financial directors.
