The works on the new university campus at the foot of the Bedford Road look set to be completed in 2017 placing students closer to the town and strengthening the town centre’s retail and pub trades with the increased number of students in and around the area. With no business rates payable for the next couple of years and the exponential effect of more successful businesses moving to the area, the Waterside Enterprise Zone continues to thrive with lots of new businesses moving into the area and very few, if any, premises now available, all good news for business growth generally in the county.
At Haines Watts Northamptonshire we have witnessed first-hand the growth of local business and have expanded our own team in response to the increasing requirement for local accountancy and business advisory services. In addition to the traditional core areas of accountancy we are also able to offer a full taxation advisory service with specialists in private and corporate tax and VAT. We also provide a whole host of additional advisory service areas designed to support business owners in fulfilling their strategic business and personal goals. From helping business owners to accelerate growth, plan acquisitions and integration, exit and sale planning, profitability improvement, raising finance for expansion and succession planning to, last but certainly not least, talent management through our recently launched Human Resources team, which provides consultancy-led pay-as-you-go and retained HR services.
It’s an exciting time for businesses in the region and an exciting time for us as we look forward to continuing to support businesses owners and contributing towards the growth of the local community.”
