Stephen Dyke
Digital and business transformation specialist Stephen Dyke has joined engineering company Cosworth in the newly created role of chief operations officer.
Mr Dyke joins Northampton-based Cosworth from global engineering consultancy Ricardo, where he spent two years as managing director, leading the company’s automotive and industrial offering across EMEA. He chaired its EMEA board and was a statutory director of Ricardo UK so brings valuable expertise to Cosworth in the automotive, commercial, defence, marine, aerospace and energy sectors.
Before moving to Ricardo, Mr Dyke led data and digital transformation within Amey, EY and Network Rail, as well as running the transport and logistics business at CSC, now known as DXC Technology.
His appointment is in response to the company’s growth within the transportation technology sector, driven by programmes and partnerships in intelligent transportation.
Mr Dyke will report to Cosworth chief executive Hal Reisiger. His arrival will allow the company to accelerate its progress towards electrification and to tackle new mobility challenges through hybrid and EV propulsion, data connectivity and automation technology.
“Cosworth is an exciting business and much broader in its capabilities than many yet know from the outside,” Mr Dyke said. “Since joining, I have learned more about our high-performance engineering and an opportunity to scale the company’s suite of offerings into new sectors and geographies.”
Mr Dyke spent more than 20 years in the RAF and studied electronic systems engineering at Cranfield University. “I am looking forward to supporting the business growth, taking everything for which Cosworth is renowned and evolving our product strategy that integrates into future mobility solutions,” he said.
