A new state-of-the-art podcast studio has opened at Northampton’s Vulcan Works, adding to the town centre workspace’s growing range of creative facilities.
Located in the main building on Guildhall Road, the purpose-built studio has been designed to give businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives access to high-quality recording equipment at an affordable rate. Hire prices start from £22.50 + VAT per hour or £120 + VAT for the day, with bookings available directly through the Vulcan Works website.
The Vulcan Studio features two setups — a professional four-seat desk layout and a relaxed lounge area with sofas — both equipped with movable microphones for flexibility. A 55-inch television screen and unlimited complimentary tea and coffee add comfort for users during sessions.
Bookings can be made by the hour, for half a day, or a full day, with optional professional support from experienced podcast producer Andrew Bond, who can be included as part of the session.
Centre manager Garrick Hurter said the launch marked an important milestone for the workspace. “The podcast studio has been an ambition of ours for a long time,” he said. “It’s the perfect addition to our services, offering another creative opportunity for our clients and the wider business community. The studio can be used by beginners and experienced podcasters alike, with all the technology needed to produce a professional sound.”
