Entries open for business awards

ENTRIES have opened for the fourth annual Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Designed to celebrate commercial success, the awards are open to all businesses across the borough, not just existing members.

Entrants need to demonstrate excellence, specifically how they have made a pioneering approach to business, as well as showing a commitment to furthering the prosperity of the borough.

Businesses can enter four categories, including: Services Business of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, Industry Award and Chamber Community Award.

Simon Toseland, Chamber President, said: “Each year our awards provide a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the success and hard work of businesses in our town.

“Despite the impact of a drawn-out Brexit, the evolution of the retail sector, the imminent unification of Northamptonshire Councils and the everyday challenges facing every business, it’s clear that a good number of Wellingborough companies and organisations are flourishing and their hard work is very much paying off.”

Those entering the business awards need not be members of the Chamber, but their business must be situated in the borough, or show a ‘significant commercial interest’ in the area.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony Friday, 29 November.

An online entry form is available on the website www.wellingboroughchamber.co.uk

The closing date for entries is Friday, September 29.

For more information on the awards contact the Chamber on 01933 652252.
