WITH an increasing range of specialist manual handling equipment becoming available through Hitec Lift Trucks in Wellingborough, the firm has set up a training division to help customers become familiar with the machines.
In recent months, the Finedon Road Industrial Estate forklift truck firm has become part of Briggs Equipment, which has extended the range of equipment available even further.
In order to ensure customers can get the most from Hitec’s offering, the company is now offering courses in forklift driving, IPAF, Pasma, driver CPC, first aid, gantry crane, manual handling, and Hiab as well as forklift instructor courses.
An introductory offer includes five days training for the price of four up to 31 March next year.
Prospero Girardi, Managing Director of Hitec, said: “Being part of Briggs Equipment opens up new possibilities for Hitec and for our customers and the training division will ensure we all make the most of the new opportunities. We’ve listened to what they want and extended our training provision to meet those needs.
“We recently had a visit from the directors of Sammons, the parent company of Briggs, and their message was that they are dedicated to the idea that keeping things local is the best way to move forward.
“We have been serving Wellingborough and the surrounding area for over 30 years and that is not going to change. We’ve just taken on a new sales person, Simon Howes, and we’re still recruiting into the sales team that will ensure our local customers continue to get the best possible service.”
Hitec Lift Trucks, one of the leading fork-lift trucks and materials handling equipment dealerships in the region, now represents the Hyster brand of fork-lift trucks, accessing a large range of machines as well as increased opportunities in terms of resources, training and support. The range includes niche access platform and lifting equipment, available for sale or hire, either on long-term or short-term hire, to fill an urgent need for extra equipment at busy periods or for use in specific situations.
