A Northamptonshire software company has launched a new manufacturing platform designed to help smaller firms modernise internal systems without committing to lengthy bespoke software projects.
Web Alliance has introduced WAMRAD — short for Web Alliance Manufacturing Rapid Application Development — as its first standalone product after more than a decade developing custom-built systems for UK businesses.
The company said the platform had been developed for manufacturers that require more flexibility than standard off-the-shelf software can provide, but do not have the resources to commission fully bespoke enterprise systems.
Web Alliance was founded in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Ashish Kumar and Iram Gilani. The business has since expanded from a home-based start-up into an international software company working with SMEs across multiple sectors.
Ashish Kumar, director of Web Alliance, said the launch reflected the company’s long-term focus on making tailored software more accessible to smaller businesses.
“Thirteen years ago, we believed SMEs deserved better than rigid systems that forced them to change how they work,” he said. “We wanted to give smaller businesses access to the kind of bespoke technology usually reserved for large enterprises. Launching WAMRAD is a proud moment for us. It’s everything we’ve learned over the years, brought together into something that businesses can use quickly and build on as they grow.”
The platform launches with a CRM-based framework intended to help manufacturers manage customer relationships and operational processes from the outset. Additional modules and functionality can then be added over time, allowing businesses to adapt the system as requirements change.
Web Alliance said the product had been developed in response to growing demand from smaller manufacturers seeking to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs while avoiding the complexity often associated with large-scale software projects.
WAMRAD is now available for demonstrations and includes UK-based technical support during business hours alongside an online ticketing system.
