Wilson Browne Solicitors has been shortlisted in three categories at the Modern Law Private Client Awards 2026, with recognition for both its specialist teams and an individual lawyer.

The Northamptonshire-based firm has been named as a finalist for Private Client Team of the Year (Midlands & Wales) and Court of Protection Team of the Year. Shakira Khan has also been shortlisted for Private Client Lawyer of the Year.

The awards recognise firms, teams and individuals working across private client law, including wills, trusts, estate planning, probate and Court of Protection matters.

Wilson Browne Solicitors is one of seven firms shortlisted in the Private Client Team of the Year (Midlands & Wales) category and one of seven finalists in the Court of Protection Team of the Year category. Shakira is among eight lawyers shortlisted nationally for the individual Private Client Lawyer of the Year award.

The shortlists place the firm alongside practices from across England and Wales competing for honours in one of the legal sector’s specialist private client awards programmes.

Tom Warrender, partner and co-head of commercial property at Wilson Browne Solicitors, said: “We are delighted to see our teams and colleagues recognised with these shortlist places. The nominations reflect the hard work and dedication shown across the firm and the commitment our people bring to supporting clients every day.”

The firm’s private client specialists advise individuals and families on a range of matters, including wills, trusts, estate administration, powers of attorney and Court of Protection work.

The Modern Law Private Client Awards are organised by Modern Law Magazine and celebrate achievement across the private client legal sector. This year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony at Coombe Abbey in Coventry on 1 July.
