Businesses across Northamptonshire are being invited to a free email marketing seminar in Corby next week, offering practical advice on improving customer engagement and making better use of existing email lists.
Digital and creative agency WTBI is hosting Email Marketing with Cut-Through at its studio in the Corby Enterprise Centre from 10am until 12pm on Tuesday 21 July 2026. The event forms part of the company’s Open House programme, which provides free marketing workshops for small and medium-sized businesses.
Creative Director and Co-Founder Andy Hodson and Digital Director Dave Calvert will lead the seminar, sharing practical techniques to help businesses improve the performance of their email marketing and avoid common mistakes that reduce engagement.
Andy said: “With a saturated inbox, the greatest risk to a brand isn’t a broken link or a typo. It is being entirely forgettable.
“Many businesses burn through their marketing budgets buying unpredictable traffic and relying on social media algorithms, whilst completely neglecting the one channel they actually own – their email list. When done correctly, an email list is a real asset that appreciates in value and cannot be copied by competitors.”
Dave added: “Most business emails overload the reader with flat blocks of uninspired text. At our event, we will be breaking down the engagement-killing mistakes that turn prospects off and explain how to avoid them.
“We will also show businesses how to stop sending one-way announcements and instead build a sustainable narrative journey that respects their audience’s time and rewards their attention.”
The free seminar will cover ways to improve email engagement, create more effective campaigns and develop longer-term communication with customers. Places are free but must be booked in advance through the WTBI website.
