SPRATTON Hall has been rated “excellent throughout’ by its latest inspection report (ISI). There are two major elements to an ISI school inspection, one being compliance and the other being educational quality.

The Focused Compliance Inspection takes into account safeguarding and child protection; the welfare, health and safety of pupils; recruitment of staff; provision of information; premises and accommodation, and a great deal more. Spratton Hall was found to be fully compliant in every single area, complying with the many hundreds of regulations.

The second major element of the inspection is educational quality which itself covers two areas: quality of pupils’ achievements and pupils’ personal development. There are four grade descriptors used: Unsatisfactory, Sound, Good and Excellent and Spratton Hall was found to be Excellent in every category throughout the school.

The key findings in the inspection were:

* The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent

* Pupils of all abilities make excellent progress across all sections of the school

* Pupils in the EYFS and Key Stage 1 make excellent progress from their starting points due to the highly personalised approach the school takes to their learning

* Pupils develop excellent skills in art, music and drama and develop their sporting skills to a high level

* The quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent

* The pupils are confident, resilient and have a strong sense of self-esteem

* Pupils have a strong moral code and good behaviour is the norm in and outside the classroom.

This report, alongside their recent Good Schools Guide review, is a fantastic endorsement of the school and cements Spratton Hall’s status as one of the leading independent prep schools in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties.
