Northampton-based asbestos consultancy Acorn Analytical Services has announced a new recruitment partnership with specialist agency Tempeo, alongside a commitment to support its recently launched community charity, The Tempeo Foundation.

Under the agreement, Tempeo will act as Acorn’s official recruitment partner, supporting Acorn recruitment activity across a wide range of roles as the consultancy continues to grow its workforce. Additionally, Acorn will support The Tempeo Foundation, which works with underprivileged groups by creating community experiences through partnerships with sports clubs, businesses and charities.

The partnership brings together two Northampton-linked businesses with a shared focus on long-term growth and social impact. Importantly, it also connects Acorn recruitment plans with wider community engagement across the town and surrounding areas.

Daniel Crask, head of operations at Acorn Analytical Services, said the relationship developed after reconnecting with Tempeo director Johnathon Dowling at the Cobbler Business Club, run by Northampton Town Football Club. He explained that Tempeo’s work at Sixfields Stadium helped spark the collaboration.

“Tempeo had just opened a community lounge at the Cobblers ground to bring matchday experiences to underprivileged people in the community,” said Daniel. “That sparked a conversation about how Acorn could support The Tempeo Foundation and make a meaningful local impact.”

In addition to overseeing operations, Daniel leads Acorn recruitment activity. Over the past 12 months, the business has increased its headcount by 23 people as demand for asbestos management services has continued to rise.

“We have added some great people to our team and plan to recruit further in 2026,” he said. “Having Tempeo, a construction-focused recruitment specialist, as a partner will be vital to our continued growth.”

For Tempeo, the partnership is positioned as a long-term collaboration rather than a purely commercial arrangement. Johnathon Dowling said the agreement reflects shared values between the two organisations.

“Working with Acorn Analytical Services shows how modern partnerships should operate – transparent, fair and built on mutual respect,” he said. “Their decision to support the Tempeo Foundation demonstrates a genuine commitment to community impact alongside business success.”

He added that the partnership aims to show how strong recruitment outcomes and positive social value can work together, particularly within the local Northampton business community.

Acorn Analytical Services provides asbestos surveying, testing and consultancy services across the UK, while Tempeo specialises in recruitment for the construction and built environment sectors.
