Corby creative agency WTBI is inviting local businesses to a free masterclass designed to help their marketing attract more attention.

Unbox Your Brand: Creative Marketing That Deserves Attention will take place at WTBI’s studio at Corby Enterprise Centre on Tuesday 15 September from 10am to noon.

The session will examine why familiar industry language and generic corporate campaigns are easily overlooked, and how businesses can use stronger ideas without committing to large marketing budgets.

WTBI Creative Director and Co-Founder Andy Hodson will introduce four areas for delegates to consider: disruptive branding, dynamic content, immersive experiences and collaboration with customers.

Hodson said: “Businesses are competing for attention in a world where people are exposed to thousands of marketing messages every day, so simply saying the same things a little louder is no longer enough.”

He added: “When every business in a sector looks and sounds the same, customers have very little to distinguish between them other than price. Creative marketing is about breaking those patterns and finding ways to make people stop, look and remember you.”

Guest speakers Sacha and Dan Pretot, founders of 4 Creative Solutions, will show how print engineering, bespoke packaging, interactive materials and sensory experiences can turn a concept into something customers can physically handle.

Hodson said physical material could have particular impact when much of the customer journey now involved scrolling through digital content.

The masterclass is the latest in WTBI’s Open House series, which provides free practical marketing advice for SMEs in an informal setting.

It will be held at Studio 3, Corby Enterprise Centre, London Road, Corby. Places are limited and registration is available through WTBI’s website.
