MAKING sure its employees are fit, healthy and feeling good about life is always beneficial to a business.
And while we all know what toll the festive season is going to take – we also know that relaxing in the spa before or after parties, or getting in the gym to work of the excess food and wine is the ideal answer.
Kettering Park Hotel has recently appointed Tracey Jobson as its Spa Membership Advisor to help businesses devise packages that offer employees the chance to use the hotel’s gym and spa facilities at a special rate.
Head of Sales Janice Ashton said: “Some businesses want to offer spa membership as a employee benefit, but for some the entire cost may be too onerous, so we also have a package whereby the company can take corporate membership and each individual pays their share – benefiting from the discounts that are available through group membership.
“Peak and off-peak membership is available, and a lot of business clients find off-peak works for them because they can use the facilities from 6am to 4pm, so they can do an early morning workout, relax in the spa for a while, grab some breakfast and then head off to work.”
Kettering Park Hotel and Spa is ideally placed just off Junction 9 of the A14, making it perfect for those that work nearby.
In order to ensure members get tailored benefits, the hotel has recently changed its pricing structure so that add-ons are available for those who want to benefit from discounts in the restaurant and bar, for the regular events held at the hotel and on spa treatments or fitness classes.
Janice added: “Members used to pay for all of those benefits, whether or not they needed them, or used them, so we restructured the pricing so people can choose a package that works for them.”

FINDING the right setting for a meeting, whether that is a one-to-one briefing or a group brainstorming session, isn’t always easy.
The meeting room facilities at Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, however, provide an answer for virtually any requirements.
Most business visitors to the hotel know about the large meeting rooms that are used regularly for networking meetings, presentations and conferences. But, in addition to the larger spaces, the hotel has a range of options that can accommodate anything from two to 260 people.
The rooms can be booked on an hourly rate starting at just £25 per hour, so those who only need them for a short time don’t have to pay the day delegate rate.
Where a room is hired for longer, the day delegate rate, starting at £33 per person, includes unlimited refreshments and a two-course hot and cold buffet lunch. The Conference Cafe, which provides snacks, treats and drinks throughout the day enables delegates to take a break at a time to suit them.
For a more relaxed event, the hotel’s Little Harrowden room can be booked for private dining. Guests can choose from a selection of menus – ideal for private celebrations or entertaining business visitors.
When some creative thinking is called for, the hotel’s Creative Spaces initiative is the perfect solution.
Meeting rooms are transformed into a more relaxed environment, using bean bag seating and fun games, so that those looking for a more relaxed and less formal approach can bounce ideas around in a setting that is conducive to creative thinking.
