TC Group’s Northampton office has been recognised as part of the firm’s inclusion in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.
The accountancy and business advisory business, which has a long-established presence in Northampton, was included in the national ranking alongside its offices in Milton Keynes, Leicester and Southampton.
Compiled using employee feedback, The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list highlights organisations that score highly across areas including employee wellbeing, job satisfaction, recognition, communication and workplace culture.
The list features businesses from across the UK and is regarded as a benchmark for employee experience and engagement.
Zoe Thomas, editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, said organisations featured in the ranking shared a belief that investing in employees contributes to stronger business performance.
She said: “The thread joining them is the belief that a happy workforce is a stepping stone to better performance, faster growth, and bigger profits.”
Chris Dell, Partner – Head of Brand, Creative & Culture at TC Group, said the recognition reflected the contribution made by employees across the business.
He said: “We’re over the moon to have been named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work. This isn’t a typical award entry – it holds incredible significance and reputation, and shares the story of the culture our people help shape every single day.
“As a Senior Leadership Team, we’ve always been committed to doing things the right way, not the easy way, creating an environment where people feel safe, supported and able to thrive in their careers.”
Stephen Watts, Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at TC Group, said the result was particularly significant because it was based on employee feedback.
He said: “This is a fantastic achievement for our Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Southampton offices. What makes it even more meaningful is the strength of our people’s feedback behind it.”
TC Group provides accountancy, tax, audit and business advisory services to businesses and individuals across the UK through its partner firm model.
The inclusion of the Northampton office in the national ranking highlights the importance employers are placing on workplace culture and staff retention as competition for talent remains strong across the professional services sector.
