An event celebrating the benefits of apprenticeships and the achievements of young people across Northamptonshire is set to take place at Vulcan Works in Northampton next month.
The Starting Off Apprenticeship Showcase will run from 9.30am to 3pm on Friday 26 September, bringing together employers, apprentices and training experts for a day of networking, insight and celebration.
The event will feature an apprenticeship information forum with Q&A sessions on recruitment, funding, employer incentives and levy contributions. Local businesses are invited to exhibit free of charge, with organisers encouraging them to bring along their apprentices to highlight their impact in the workplace.
Katie Goodall, managing director at apprenticeship provider Starting Off, said: “If you’re considering employing an apprentice but don’t know where to start, this event is for you. And if you already employ apprentices and want to stay up to date with the latest developments, you will benefit too.”
The showcase will also support BeMoreFab Children’s Cancer Charity in partnership with the Anthony Nolan Hero Project. Guests will hear the story of a Northamptonshire family whose daughter Florence was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2022 and received a life-saving bone marrow transplant.
The day will conclude with the Starting Off Apprentice of the Year Awards, celebrating outstanding apprentices who have trained with the organisation over the past year.
Garrick Hurter, centre manager at Vulcan Works, said: “It is fantastic to see Starting Off using Vulcan Works to bring people together, collaborate, build networks and share ideas. We wish them every success with the Apprenticeship Showcase.”
Tickets include lunch and can be booked via Eventbrite here.
