Cynthia Spencer Hospice is calling on Northamptonshire businesses to step back in time for a night of 1940s glamour — and to help raise vital funds for its specialist palliative care.

The charity’s Big Band Bash takes place on Saturday 15 November at the Mercure Hotel Northampton. The evening will feature live music from Jazz Colossus, a 20-piece big band led by composer and bandleader Miles Hancock, alongside a vintage-inspired welcome drink, three-course dinner, raffle, auction, and photobooth.

Organisers say the event offers companies a chance to entertain clients, reward staff, and demonstrate corporate social responsibility while directly supporting the hospice’s work.

“Sponsoring Cynthia’s 1940s Big Band Bash is a chance to promote your brand at a glamorous, feel-good event while directly supporting the compassionate care we provide,” said Michelle Morris, community and events fundraiser lead at Cynthia Spencer Hospice. “It’s a meaningful way for your business to give back to the local community, gain positive exposure, and be part of a celebration that honours both heritage and heart.”

Sponsorship packages start at £500 and include branding opportunities and event promotion. Businesses can also book tables for clients or staff, with early bird tickets priced at £65, standard tickets at £70, and a table of ten at £630.

The hospice supports patients and families across Northamptonshire through inpatient, outpatient, and Hospice@Home services, as well as specialist nursing and wellbeing programmes.
