PROFIT is sanity, and Northampton firm C Butt Ltd is delighted to announce a return to profit for the business that was first incorporated in 1926.
In a challenging period, with Brexit concerns, a national driver shortage and fuel costs 14 per cent higher than this time last year, Jonathan and Robert Butt have steered the business away from the loss-making years as they put local business back, front and centre.
Jonathan Butt said: “We felt that if we focused on offering a quality service that puts the customer first and meets their needs, this would be the solid platform needed for the business.”
Robert Butt added: “We are keen to promote the family values of the company because we feel a personal, flexible service is what customers expect from their logistics supplier. Everyone who works for the company holds the same values of customer service and satisfaction and through that, we continue to build on the transport, warehousing and logistics services, for new and existing customers alike.”
“We try to be competitively priced, but that doesn’t affect the quality of the service we offer, whether that is getting goods from A to B or providing warehousing and fulfillment services for those that need them,” Jonathan added.
C Butt Ltd provides full UK and international logistics capability, employing nearly 200 people to deliver its transport and warehousing service and running a fleet of 50-plus vehicles and 130 trailers. Its high-quality, BRC food accredited warehouse on the Brackmills Industrial Estate offers 200,000 square feet of space, and currently has space available.
The warehouse is a shared user facility that provides pallet space for customers in a range of sectors, storing anything from foodstuffs to air conditioning units and for customers requiring anything from a couple of pallets to those needing many thousands.
