MIDSHIRES Electrical & Lighting Managing Director Ben Fountain welcomed the winner of the firm’s annual Christmas Charity Prize Draw to pick up a cheque for the charity of his choice.
Silvano Geranio, Founder Director of Prestige Park Homes, who won £1,000 for Cransley Hospice in Kettering.
Midshires annually gives customers the chance to win £1,000 for charity, instead of giving out the usual Christmas bottles etc. This year, Silvano Geranio was delighted to be pulled out the hat and get the chance to hand over the money to a surprised Mark Spruce,
Community and In Memoriam Development Manager for Cransley Hospice.
Silvano said: “As someone whom employs over 500 people in and around the Kettering area, I know there are people that have had their lives touched by the hospice and the great work it does for the community. I was bowled over when I got the call from Midshires and even more delighted when I got to present the cheque in person to the hospice and Mark.” If you would like to make a donation to the hospice, contact or call 01536 452423 or donate via the website www.cransleyhospice.org.uk
Meanwhile, a CHARITY event at the Picturedrome in Northampton raised over £4,500 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Ben Fountain was so impressed by the event and the organisation of it all by Justin Gomersall and his team, that he donated a further £2,000 to the fun, taking the grand total £6,500.
The charity was over the over the moon when Justin and Ben presented the cheque to Sarah Denston from Cynthia Spencer Hospice just before Christmas.
