BUSINESSES in Northamptonshire can boost their digital skills for free as the Growth Hub brings Google Digital Garage at iCon Innovation Centre in Daventry on Wednesday, 27 June as part of the Fueling Success through Innovation event.

As unbelievable as it may sound, small businesses are in fact better situated to be more innovative than larger organisations. This event is a great opportunity to network and make connections, develop your knowledge and skills, gain an understanding of what is innovation and how SMEs can use it to their advantage.

To equip small businesses with the required knowledge and skills the Google Digital Garage team will deliver a workshop focusing on Google Analytics: Know your Business with Data. This workshop will explore how Google Analytics can help you uncover trends about your customers, including how people use your website or interact with your business online. Based on this information you could anticipate your clients’ needs and develop new products or processes to keep them loyal.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to find out about funding opportunities available to you through the Innovate Northamptonshire project and Innovate UK. There are opportunities for you to learn about possible Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, and a number of different ways in which you could bring and cultivate innovation within your business.

Ronan Harris, Google UK & Ireland Managing Director, said: “In the digital age, a basic understanding of how the online world works is useful and when it comes to business, it’s essential. We are delighted to bring the Google Digital Garage to Northamptonshire and ensure everyone has access to free digital skills workshops and 1:1 coaching. We hope you’ll pop in and get the skills you need to become more confident online, grow your business, and maybe even launch the next big idea.”
