AS preparations get into full swing for the second SME Northamptonshire Business Awards, the organisers have announced some exciting changes for 2017.
Two new categories have been added – Restaurant of the Year and Pub of the Year – while some award categories will now see the regional winners go forward to a national awards ceremony.
In addition, it has been announced that HR Solutions, based in Kettering, will line up alongside Stanair Industrial Doors and Business Times as headline sponsors.
Northamptonshire is home to a wide spectrum of businesses in a range of sectors, with smaller companies being the lifeblood of the county, often working alongside and complementing the major players.
The 2017 SME Northamptonshire Business Awards are open to any business with fewer than 250 employees. Categories include, among others, Best New Business, Business Person of the Year, Training and Development, Apprentice of the Year, Employee of the Year and Networking Group of the Year, and each business is eligible to enter up to two categories.
Organiser Damian Cummins said: “We are delighted to have HR Solutions on board as a headline sponsor, and thank them for their support.
“The awards were a great success last year and will be bigger and better in 2017. In addition, the winners of certain core categories will be going through to a national final, which will be a fantastic opportunity for them to get recognition on a national stage.”
Nominations will be invited shortly for the Restaurant of the Year and Pub of the Year and then, once nominations are closed, the result will be determined by a public vote.
