CUBEX Contracts Limited were delighted to be instructed by McCarthy Environmental as the Principle Contractor for their new premises fit out.
McCarthy Environmental, following expansion, is relocating its business premises to Swan Valley in Northampton and the new unit requires completely fitting out.
Andy MacKenzie, Managing Director at Cubex said: “We were initially given the opportunity to design the interior fit out for McCarthy which included a mezzanine floor, with partitioning to create additional office space, welfare facilities, a canteen area and electrical/mechanical provisions and air conditioning. Having submitted our design and quotation for the works we were thrilled to be appointed to carry out the installation.”
This project represents the ideal works for Cubex, encompassing the key products that they design and install; mezzanine floors, suspended ceilings, office partitioning, washrooms, electrics and air conditioning. The project has been mobilised in under a month with a programme of works spanning three weeks and is managed by a member of the Cubex Project’s Team, Mason Whiting.
The additional floor space created by the mezzanine floor increases the original footprint of the new unit by at least 50 per cent, offering McCarthy the additional space required to help grow their business.
Having got to know the team at McCarthy well during the initial design process, Cubex have been able to offer a reciprocal opportunity on a potential fit out that they are tendering for in London that requires specialist dust and fume extraction.
Andy MacKenzie went on to say: “McCarthy has been a great company to work with and we felt confident in proposing them to one of our customers in London for specialist work as they are a CHAS accredited contractor, like Cubex. Having begun the fit-out for their new premises, it would be great to work with them on one of our larger projects in the future.”
