THE ever-evolving nature of the business world means that in order for employees to remain competitive, they need to learn and develop new skills. As a result of this, part-time college education has become an integral part of the UK’s drive to upskill the population.
This is why Moulton College is launching free part-time courses in Maths and English. The courses, designed for adults in work, or those preparing for the next steps, are aimed to improve learner confidence in these subjects, which can be implemented back in the workplace. The majority of working environments call for a basic understanding of these skills in order to thrive.
Rob Stevens, Programme Leader for Maths and English, said: “Maths and English form a huge part of our everyday lives, which is why these free courses are so important. Learning these functional skills will allow our adult learners to work independently and effectively, at a professional and personal level.”
The courses will launch week beginning 23 September 2019, and run on Wednesday evenings and Friday afternoons.
