THE apprenticeship levy came into force on 6 April 2017. Under the scheme, firms with a payroll of more than £3m are required to contribute the equivalent of 0.5 per cent of their payroll into a pot from which apprenticeships are then funded.

Apprenticeships available are Warehouse Operative, Driving Goods Vehicles and Articulated/Drawbar Driver
Training options include day release: e.g. one day a week at Merlin Supply Chain Solutions locations; block release: e.g.one week at Merlin Supply Chain locations or at the employers location where Merlin Supply Chain Solutions comes to the workplace.
The end point assessment is an assessment by an independent organisation to ensure that all apprentices follow the same standard and are assessed consistently.
