HSBC UK has opened a new Commercial Banking and Innovation Centre in Northampton to serve its local customers, develop new technologies and drive new ways of working to deliver the future of banking.
The new site, located in the heart of Northampton’s Brackmills business area, will house up to 35 HSBC UK Commercial Banking staff and will serve SME and mid-market customers. It is a sister location to existing offices in Milton Keynes, Watford, Cambridge and Birmingham.
The Innovation Centre, located within the new facility, places a focus on forward looking technologies across banking, including trade finance and payment facilitation, as well as tools to improve collaboration between HSBC UK Relationship Managers and customers.
The Innovation Centre will ensure new technology and processes are tested in a real world environment before broader roll-out across the HSBC UK network.
Andrew Franklin, HSBC UK Business Banking Area Director, said: “The new facility was designed with the latest technology, lighting and workspace architecture to give the best possible environment for us to serve our clients and be ‘at our best’ at work.”
Simon Pyatt, HSBC UK Corporate Banking Area Director, said “We see South Midlands and, in particular, Northamptonshire & Milton Keynes as key locations for doing business. HSBC has been in Northampton for over 100 years and our new site represents our continuing commitment to the area.”
