WITH a long history of food storage, distribution and management, C Butt Ltd has underpinned its position in the sector by moving towards a key accreditation.
The Northampton-based haulage and warehousing company has continued its push into food and retail logistics in applying for the coveted British Retail Consortium (BRC) accreditation.
C Butt Ltd took the decision to move to BRC Global Standards as it is seen widely as the leading standard in consumer protection, used by more than 25,000 certificated suppliers in more than 130 countries.
BRC Global Standards guarantees the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensures that manufacturers and supply chains fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer, and are now often a fundamental requirement of leading retailers, manufacturers, logistics and food service organisations.
C Butt Ltd offers haulage and warehousing facilities via a fleet of 40 vehicles and 65 trailers and the company’s new purpose-built 110,000 square foot warehouse on the Brackmills Industrial Estate.
The new warehouse provides pallet space for customers in a range of sectors, and for those requiring anything from a couple of hundred pallets to customers needing thousands. The firm specialises in full logistics, dedicated and shared user warehousing and multimodal transport networks.
The network is designed to offer a first class service while maintaining cost effective, innovative and sustainable solutions for customers ranging from small businesses through to leading blue-chip manufacturers and retailers.
