ANOTHER aspiring young professional has joined the team at Amber Properties.
Like many young people, Charlie Burge was ready for a new challenge, having completed her studies, initially in health and social care and then in business.
Managing Director, Ausra Uzukauskaite, said: “I have been so impressed with our first apprentice, Ellie, who joined in January. She has already been promoted to Property Manager and is an award finalist. Building on this success by recruiting another talented apprentice was the obvious next step.
“As soon as I met Charlie, I could see that she has just as much potential as Ellie. I knew she would fit in well and would always deliver the high standards of customer service we provide to tenants and landlords.”
Charlie said: “I have always been interested in business, so when I saw the opportunity for an apprenticeship with Amber Properties I thought it would be perfect for me.
“All my friends and family are in Northampton, so I didn’t want to move away. I was ready for a new type of training and learning while working is ideal. I don’t drive yet, although it’s definitely on the list, so the central location means I can get here easily too.
“So far, I have been working with Ausra and Ellie to learn about all the business systems we use and the properties we have available, so that I can help people when they call us.
“I will be starting my training in Level 2 Business Administration soon and will spend one day each week training off-site. I am really looking forward to learning new skills and I am sure this experience will mean I will have great opportunities in the future.”
The Business Administration apprenticeship is a practical qualification, giving an overview of all the skills, tasks and equipment used in a modern office-based role. It includes communication skills for a business environment, administration and information management. It also focuses on how to develop working relationships with colleagues.
