HITEC Lift Trucks in Wellingborough raised its profile even further recently when it provided the handling equipment needed to set up a major trade event at Silverstone.
The well-established Vertikal Days event was held at Silverstone for the first time in May. The show is a major European showcase for lifting and handling equipment, predominantly access platforms and cranes.
Hitec Lift Trucks, which is based on the Finedon Road Industrial Estate, was asked to provide the fork lift trucks and handling equipment needed to set up the show including the loading and unloading of marquees and stalls for the open air event.
Prospero Girardi, Managing Director of Hitec Lift Trucks, said: “We have worked with the organisers before at other shows and were delighted to be asked to get involved.
“Having provided the equipment for the practical setting up of the show, we decided to stay on an take a stand ourselves and that also proved very successful. It’s a different audience for us, as we were the only fork lift truck company there, but we were also able to feature our access platforms and the wide range of handling equipment we offer – and we also bought three new access platforms to add to our own fleet, so all in all it was a great success.
“We supply the Cesab range and Miles Griffin, Cesab’s UK General Manager, visited the stand and he was also very impressed with what he saw.”
Over the past few years, Hitec Lift Trucks has added various access platforms and specialist lifting equipment to its portfolio, responding to customer demand and in turn saving customers time and money.
Equipment is available for sale or hire, either on long-term lease hire or short-term to fill an urgent need for extra equipment at busy periods or for use in specific situations.
“We’ve made ourselves a bit of a one-stop shop so that customers can meet all their handling needs in one go, saving time in having to find two suppliers, and saving transport costs as everything they need can be accessed via us and then delivered at the same time.”
