ENTRIES are now open for an exciting awards programme which will recognise the most talented young business people from across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
The Next Generation Business Awards opened for entries in February to celebrate inspiring young people whose achievements are making an impressive impact in their chosen field.
The awards are run by Next Generation Chamber, which was created by Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and its sister Chamber in Milton Keynes to help businesses support and nurture staff who are dedicated to advancing their careers.
Northamptonshire Chamber Chief Executive, Paul Griffiths, said: “Next Generation Chamber provides a platform for ambitious young business people in the area to help them grow and develop via a series of exclusive networking and personal development events.
“We also wanted to recognise the talent and dedication of the next generation of business leaders who work in all sectors across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes and as a result we launched the inaugural Next Generation Business Awards last year.
“The calibre of entries last year was superb and we cannot wait to celebrate this year’s brilliant finalists. Within days of opening the competition we had entries in every category and we would encourage all talented young business people to put themselves forward. Firms are also welcome to enter on behalf of their employees.”
The deadline for entries is Friday, 3 April, and the awards will culminate with a glittering awards ceremony at The Platform in Northampton on Friday, 26 June.
The seven awards categories this year are Charity and Social Enterprise Star of the Year; Customer Service Star of the Year; Entrepreneur Star of the Year; Sales, Marketing and Communications Star of the Year; Service Industry Star of the Year; Milton Keynes Star of the Year and Northamptonshire Star of the Year.
