STAFF at the National Accident Helpline in Kettering are celebrating after its parent company received two awards in recognition of work to recognise, reward and engage with its staff.
The NAHL Group won recognition for its relaunched employee engagement programme at the Engagement Excellence Awards 2018, which took place at The Roundhouse in Camden.
Presented by comedian Joel Dommett, the awards are organised by employee engagement platform Reward Gateway to recognise companies’ efforts to engage with their workforce.
The NAHL Group, which is based at the National Accident Helpline’s headquarters in Kettering, was named winner in the Best Recognition Strategy and Most Effective Relaunch categories for the successful relaunch of its tailored employee recognition programme.
The group comprises four companies covering three sectors – personal injury, residential property and critical care – which employ more than 200 people in total, around half of whom are based in Kettering.
As well as offering awards with a monetary value, the NAHL Group’s employee engagement programme gives staff the opportunity to recognise and thank their colleagues for their hard work by sending them an eCard.
Staff are also encouraged to highlight their praise for each other by posting messages on an online social recognition wall so that they can be seen by teams throughout the business.
Marcus Lamont, HR Director for the NAHL Group plc, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of the passion that’s gone into our employee engagement strategy from each and every member of our staff. Their dedication to the cause really does go above and beyond.
“The relaunch of our engagement strategy encompasses four organisations in four different locations, which means that an unwavering focus on all our employees and a sense of togetherness are necessary to show that our companies provide a working environment like no other in their industries.
“Winning awards like these is a deserved recognition of that determination and focus on building an engaging working environment for our employees.”
The move to the new recognition strategy resulted in the amount of recognition sent across the company increasing by 182 per cent.
