IT’S a warm evening but you fancy something tasty and spicy – do you fire up the barbecue or go out for a curry? There’s now no need to make that choice.
Imli Lounge in Kingsley Park Terrace in Northampton has devised an Indian barbecue pack that ticks all the boxes. Forget the usual sausages and burgers – al fresco diners can now enjoy a range of meats, salads and sauces that can be cooked at home to provide a spicy alternative.
Saf Choudhury, owner of Imli Lounge, came up with the idea for a four-person or two-person option that can be ordered when the forecast looks good.
“When it’s warm, people love to cook and eat outside in the evening or at the weekend,” said Saf. “Because of all the preparation work involved, a barbecue featuring Indian food is probably something they have not thought about, but the introduction of our new service means this can now be a reality.
“Customers can order a complete prepared barbecue from us and then finish the cooking process in their gardens without all the hassle of having to marinade meats and prepare salads and sauces.”
The Imli Lounge barbecue pack is £39.95 for four people and £19.95 for two.
For those who still want to eat in, Imli Lounge offers a wide and varied menu that includes all the classic favourites, along with a selection thali dishes, house specialities, exotic dishes and tawa specials.
The chefs at Imli Lounge always try to use local produce, use little ghee and less oil where possible to support healthy eating and this is about to be enhanced by the introduction of a healthy eating menu.
Wednesday night is Banquet Night, where a starter, main dish and side dish costs just £10.95 per person, while on Sunday there’s an all-you-can-eat buffet from noon to 5pm costing £8.95 per person (half price for children).
