Northamptonshire law firm Wilson Browne Solicitors has secured rankings across nine practice areas in The Legal 500 2027, with three of its senior lawyers also receiving individual recognition in the annual legal directory.

The firm, which has offices across Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, has been recognised for its work in commercial litigation, corporate law, employment, commercial property and social housing, alongside several private client specialisms such as family law, private client (wills, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney), and contentious probate (contested Wills, Trusts and claims against an estate).

Among the individual honours, Kevin Rogers (pictured) has been named in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame, which recognises lawyers with a longstanding record of achievement and recognition within their specialist fields.

Hayley Mauro, who heads the firm’s commercial litigation team from Kettering, and Tom Warrender, who leads its social housing practice, have both been recognised as Leading Partners.

The commercial litigation team achieved a Tier 2 ranking for its work advising businesses and organisations on contractual disputes, shareholder disagreements, insolvency matters and professional negligence claims.

Wilson Browne’s Northampton-based corporate team (aka corporate & commercial or company & commercial) secured a Tier 3 ranking. Led by Holly Threlfall, the team advises businesses on matters ranging from incorporation and shareholder agreements to mergers, acquisitions and succession planning.

Duncan Crowther was also recognised for his corporate work, including equity investment, refinancing and advice to businesses in the engineering sector.

The firm’s commercial property team received a Tier 2 ranking, with Tom Warrender and John Punni recognised for their work involving property transactions, development and leasing. Its social housing practice was also ranked Tier 2, reflecting its work with housing associations, developers and infrastructure companies.

Kevin Rogers said: “Recognition in The Legal 500 is particularly pleasing because it reflects feedback from clients as well as independent research into the work we do.

“We have some exceptionally talented people across the firm, and these rankings reflect their commitment to providing practical, commercially focused advice.

“For businesses across Northamptonshire, having access to experienced legal specialists locally is important, and we are proud of the relationships we have built with our clients over many years.”

The firm’s employment team, led by Northampton-based Jennie Jahina, also achieved a ranking. The team advises employers across sectors including technology, finance and healthcare on restructuring, redundancy, workplace matters and employment tribunal proceedings.

Beyond its commercial services, Wilson Browne secured Tier 3 rankings in family law, private client law and contentious probate.

Its agriculture and rural land team, led by Kirsten Rimmer in Higham Ferrers, was also listed. The practice advises agricultural and landowning clients on estate matters, including issues involving biodiversity net gain and natural capital.

The Legal 500 assesses law firms and individual lawyers through independent research, submissions detailing their work and feedback from clients and legal professionals.

The latest rankings recognise Wilson Browne’s work across a range of legal disciplines, from supporting Northamptonshire businesses with commercial transactions and disputes to advising individuals, families and landowners.
