DRAKE Commercial took part in the Segro IAS National football tournament, held in London, as part of the East Midlands team to enter.
Drake Commercial also sponsored the team, which helped raise money for LandAid and The Faraway Children’s Charity, who are the chosen charities of Segro and the Industrial Agents Society (IAS).
The team performed well, having been drawn in a tough group with LSH, who were defending champions, as well as Glenny and IPIF. The East Midlands side were narrowly eliminated on goal difference ahead of the quarter finals. The team was made up of surveyors from Drake Commercial, CS2, Barwood Capital, Underwoods and Harris Lamb.
Chair of the East Midlands IAS region and Partner at Drake Commercial, Tom Drake, captained the side. He said: “This is the first year we have entered a regional team and we were delighted with the response we got from surveyors and agents in the region. From a Drake Commercial perspective, we were very pleased to support the very worthwhile causes selected. We all look forward to entering again next year and hopefully going a step further in the competition.”
The afternoon was attended by a wide range of surveying practices and investment/development firms from across London and the wider UK.
