NORTHAMPTON town centre is set to welcome Premier Stores to a key Abington Street location.

The convenience store has taken a new lease on the corner of Abington Street and St Giles Terrace, formerly Cafe del Sol. Footfall in that area has been increased with the opening of the new Burger King restaurant, and the new Premier Store is close to a thriving office and business area. The unit was let at the full asking rent on a 20-year lease.

Working with joint agent Abbey Ross, Hadlands has recently let the unit at 122 Wellingborough Road to Made Recruitment on a three-year lease, again at the full asking rent. At one point there were three offers on the table for the premises, showing the increased activity with regard to retail and business premises in the right location.

Out of town, a deal has been completed at 9 Mansion Close, an industrial unit of 12,918 square feet which became available when EDMR, a motor repair business, relocated to larger premises within the Moulton Park Industrial Estate.

The new owner has instructed Hadlands to re-let part of the property, which benefits from six-metre eaves height, mezzanine storage and office space and 26 car parking spaces.

One of two office spaces available at Mobbs Miller House in Ardington Road, Northampton, has been let to Archway Construction, leaving unit 19G available to let. The unit offers 1,088 square feet of space, which can be let as a whole or in part, to suit the individual tenant.

We are also pleased to announce that 4 Deanery Court in Preston Deanery has been sold to an investor occupier, with part of the space coming back onto the market to be re-let.

The purchasers are actively seeking to acquire additional office and industrial premises in Northampton and have cash funds immediately available.
