WORKS are now complete on the new 195,000 sq ft warehouse development in Eldon Way, Crick for Graftongate Investments and Legal & General.
Goodrich was appointed as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors from the very beginning of the project, working closely with the design team to obtain the planning approval and other consents. The end result being this high-quality warehouse facility which incorporates a generous two-storey office and a very sizeable service yard area with a separate distribution office.
The site previously occupied an existing warehouse unit and yard which had to be demolished so that the best use of space could be optimised for the new unit. The site is in a prime location with excellent transport links to the M1 and M6 intersection, with quick access to the A14. The project was undertaken as a design and build scheme.
Since completion, the unit has been attracting significant interest from prospective tenants due to its location and the potential 1.5MVA power availability. The Senior Project Manager at Goodrich, Huw Thomas, said: “The building has been fitted out to a high standard and is being used by Legal & General as a reference site for other potential tenants.”
The site was located around the corner from another recently completed Goodrich project for Legal & General, a 125,000 sq ft extension to the existing Butcher’s Pet Care facility, which was handed over in October 2016.
